Hey Church,

I hope you continue to be encouraged by Pastor's message, and more importantly God's WORD. We learned how Jeremiah was known as the weeping prophet. The sins of his people were bringing about great sorrow in his land. Our world isn't much different. There are many things that are considered normal today that we know aren't right. Some obvious, some subtle, some we ignore, some we allow, some we might even partake in. God wants us to reflect on our lives, our behavior, our thoughts, and our hearts, and to draw closer to him. Bad things happen when we disobey God, but it's just reaping what we sow. God is just, but He also gives mercy and forgiveness. He even gives us the formula for to turn things around:

2 Chronicles 7:14

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 

We need to follow His instruction. We learned too that Jesus is a perfect balance of Justice, Mercy, and Forgiveness. We may be sitting in a foxhole in our lives, maybe because of life's circumstance, maybe because of our own doing. We're crouched down in a pit of fear, despair, pain, bitterness, unforgiveness, you name it. Enemy snipers pinning us down just waiting for us to make a move to hurt us again. But as Pastor mentioned, we have the ultimate sniper on our side. Jesus can see through time and space and can deliver just what we need to defeat our enemy and climb out of the foxhole. He's undefeated and He wants to see us succeed! We just need to say enough is enough! It's time for a new hunger for God. A desire for righteousness, understanding that God is for us, and every victory with God is guaranteed!
