Failing Successfully
Hey Church,
I'm so glad that God never abandons us. We're always making mistakes and falling short of His glory. But because of His love, His mercy, and His grace, He's always there to take the brokenness that we create and turn things around for good. There's nobody who could do that but God, and there's no problem He can't fix. But there is something we can do, and that's LEARN from those mistakes!
There's a good chance that we're in the valley of bones because of what we did to get there, and it's probably not the first time. We need to humble ourselves and apply God's wisdom by submitting to Him! We need to own our failures just like the example Pastor gave. Many of the most successful people in the world got there because of their willingness to fail. But those failures taught them something. God doesn't want us to keep failing with the same thing. He wants us to grow, to elevate ourselves to be more like Him, and advance His kingdom!
Philippians 3:13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
