Falling on Jesus
Church,
What a powerful service Sunday! I admire Pastor's vulnerability when he got on stage. No matter who we are, we have heavy burdens at times. I'm sure we've all been there. Sometimes we have to drag our flesh to the house of God, and when we get there, God shows up and revives us, giving us just what we need! Pastor continued to speak about healing and gave some important steps to heal our souls. Jesus knows what it's like to suffer, and He knows exactly how to heal us. The pain and suffering that Christ endured is what gives us claim to the healing we need.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
But healing takes time, and being wounded can cause us to get stuck in the valleys of life. I like what Pastor said: if you're going to fall, fall on Jesus. Just like the man who fell on Elisha's bones, we can fall on the One who gives everlasting life. He's the great physician of our body, soul, and spirit. He has the power to give us the resurrection we need! He doesn't just have the power to do so, he has the desire to as well! God's plans are good! He WANTS us to succeed, to be made whole, and to shine for His glory. Let's fall into His arms, open our hearts, and let Him!
