Hey church!

Hey Church family,

Two verses have been on my heart this week:

Psalm 16:11

“You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Psalm 63:1

“O God, You are my God; earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”

This week I’ll be leading the song “Your Presence” by Tiffany Hudson. It’s a newer song, and I still remember the first time I heard it. I was driving my kids to doctor’s appointments on a busy, stressful day. As the song played, I couldn’t hold back the tears. Right there in my car, in the middle of the chaos, the Lord met me.

That’s the beauty of His presence. He isn’t only found on Sunday mornings or in quiet moments. He meets us in our cars, our kitchens, our workplaces, our waiting rooms, and in the middle of ordinary life.

No matter what season we’re walking through…setbacks or victories, stress or peace, sickness or health, abundance or need…we all desperately need the presence of God.

Every day, we’re invited to come before Him with humble hearts, laying down our pride, repenting of our sin, and choosing to honor Him in all that we say and do. His presence isn’t just something we experience; it’s where we find our joy, our strength, and our satisfaction.

One of my favorite parts of this song says:

“Cause I’ve stood on the highest of mountains

Been offered glory and riches

But it’s always been Your presence for me.

And I’ve been to beautiful places

I’ve stood on so many stages

But it’s always been Your presence for me.”

What a beautiful reminder.

No matter where life takes me, no matter what I gain or lose, I want His presence above everything else. My soul’s greatest delight is found in Him alone. This world has nothing that compares!! Not success, possessions, recognition, or achievement.

Jesus is enough. His presence is enough.

My prayer this week is that we wouldn’t simply sing about His presence, but that we would hunger for it. That we would seek Him with our whole hearts, because in His presence there truly is fullness of joy.
