Hello Church!
I have been listening to a song lately that has been ministering to me and it has to do with the power of Jesus when he arrives where we are. Sometimes in worship we feel those times that it feels like heaven touching earth. In those precious moments we have a choice in how we respond. Do we recognize what God is doing and the power that is present to heal, deliver, and save? Do we treat this as ordinary and not holy? How many times has the presence of Jesus passed through our midst and we didn't recognize it or respond?
Mary and Joseph, the parents of Jesus lost him for a whole day when he was 12 years old. "Luke 2:43b "...The boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but his parents didn’t know it." Luke 4:30 tells of how Jesus passed right through the midst of a crowd pressing him and went away to another place and conducted a miracle there instead. Luke 4:30 "But passing through their midst, he went away." Even Jacob in the old testament wrestled with God and came to this conclusion, Genesis 28:16 "And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I knew it not.” May we be sensitive to the move of God and sense when He is here and active in our midst. Whether in our private prayer closet or worship time or in corporate praise, may our eyes be opened to see what the Spirit of God is doing and may we have the courage and audacity to act upon it and respond! May our spiritual callousness be healed and our hearts tender before him.
