Made For More

Hey Church- this week I am thinking about what Pastor Dan had impressed passionately toward us on Sunday about whether we want a little "tea cup" experience with God or to dive head first into the fullness of what God has for us. So many times, I feel like God wants to go deeper and further in services and for whatever reason there is resistance. Maybe some are scared of God's presence maybe some are burned by Christianity and have a lot of walls up. Whatever it may be, we should always be hungering for more of God whether a new Christian or one that has been walking with the Lord for many years. We have reduced an infinite God to a Sunday morning checking of a box! We were made for more. God is so much more. As we talked about in the Men's advance this last weekend, we have to stop thinking small and open up the possibilities of what if.. What if we truly surrendered everything to God and allowed His presence to move in our lives without measure? I believe the degree of God's outpouring is equivalent to our degree of brokenness! He can't fill a cup filled up with everything else. We need to be completely emptied out for Him. 2 Chronicles 7:14 " If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways [being completely broken and empty- my emphasis]; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
