Church,

This Sunday is Palm Sunday, where we celebrate Jesus's triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

John 12:12-16

The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So, they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written, “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt!”

Pastor has been sharing about the desire to God to be ruler in our lives, our King. He molds us into the image of Christ when we surrender our will and instead choose God's. It's scary to say, "not my will but your will be done" but surrendering to God is the best thing we can do. I know this isn't news for some, but I want to challenge all of us to consciously surrender our will to God. We say these things, but is God really the King in our lives, or are we? When we disagree with God, and His Word, who has the final say? We know how to recognize authority on earth. How much more should we honor Almighty God with our submission to Him, with our praise and worship, our resources, our time, our money, our lives? He is the King of Kings!
