More Like Jesus
Hey Church,
I hope you've been sensing God's love in your lives! I'm enjoying hearing about the depths of God's love, and it's endless! We'll always have more to share because God is always revealing to us new depths to His love! On Sunday we heard about some encounters people had with Jesus. The woman with the bleeding issue was encouraged in her spirit to draw close to Jesus, and because of Jesus's love and compassion, and her faith, she was healed! We shouldn't be surprised, because going to Jesus is always the answer! Jesus is the way, the truth, the life, and the source of all we need! We know this, but how many times have we failed to demonstrate it with our actions? Are we fully trusting in God? Do we surrender fully to Him? Are we reluctant to let go of the control in our lives to really see what God can do? Do we practice what we preach? Do we think, speak, and act like Jesus? Do we represent the love of God to others?
I pray that we evaluate ourselves, and ask God to help us let go.
I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, laying aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary, fainting in heart.
