More Than You Know
Hey River Church,
As a church we have been focusing on Psalm 23 about the Lord being a good shepherd and leading us. No matter what we’re going through in life we can trust that He will lead us beside still waters, He will restore our souls, and He leads us in the paths of righteousness, and when we walk in the valley of the shadow of death we do not have to fear because He is with us, and He is for us. He is our good shepherd, He is a good Father. We can trust in Him because He will always come through. Maybe you’re the sheep who has gone astray this week and He’s coming for you just like we see in Matthew 18:12 “ What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them gets lost, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountain and go in search of the one that is lost?”
He loves you more than you know. In John 10:11 ,
“I am the good shepherd, who is willing to die for the sheep.”
What a love we have found in Jesus. What a faithful friend. In the song we will be singing this week the lyrics read,
“A father's heart that's for me
A never-ending story
Of love that's always chasing me
His kindness overwhelming
And hope for me unending
He's never given up on me”
Do you believe that the Father’s heart is for you? Do you do you believe He has carried you this far and will never give up on you? He won’t fail even when we think it’s over. He is not done with you yet. Let’s cling to His promise that He is faithful and He loves us more than we will ever know. Let’s lift up His name and trust He is faithful no matter what our circumstances are.
“O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.” Isaiah 25:1
