Hey Church,
This week I want to magnify the greatness of God's love for us. Psalm 63:3-4 says: " Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I lift up my hands." David writes this psalm in the middle of the desert, desperate for water and physical sustenance, yet he declared his life for was God. Even in his wilderness experience, David felt God's love, and it was powerful enough to silence the pain that he was enduring walking through the desert. That’s the power of His love, it can completely change your wilderness experience. Love brings healing, love can restore what has been lost, love can birth new life. His love is what changes people, love is the reason why we can depend on God, love is what defines our significance in the eyes of God. Nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39), His love can still reach you even when you are alone in the wilderness. There are zero exceptions to this statement, because His word says so. You are never too far away, never too dirty, never too low or high, never too consumed by fire for His love to come rescue you. This week I pray that we can remember that God loved us first even when we didn’t deserve it, and glorify Him for being faithful to His Word.
