Hello Church,

Pastor Danny spoke about Jeremiah 29:11-13 this Sunday, reminding us to not forget about 12 and 13.  These two verses highlight the responsibility we have for our futures if we want our futures to be within the will of God.  God said, “You will call on me and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”  I see this as God’s charge to his children; if we want to live within the will of God, we need to have an intimate relationship with God.  I am challenged by this because my life is filled with distractions, difficult relationships, financial burdens, countless other issues, but God says, “seek me with all your heart”.  It is difficult to keep focused on God when all these other issues seem to cloud my vision and crowd my mind.

But I have found that the more I seek him, the more I pray and devote myself to a life of worship, the louder the voice of God is.  When I magnify God, all other things become peripheral.   The Holy Spirit shifts the atmosphere around me as my thoughts become aligned with the Word of God.  The will of God is not easy, but it is simple.  God has provided the blueprint in Jeremiah 29:12-13: seek Him with all your heart – then you will find Him.  I pray we can re-center our lives and our hearts toward God and seek him more and more each day.  Jesus is the center of it all!
