ABOUT US
Our children’s ministry is for children between the ages of four and twelve. Our desire is to ignite a passion for Jesus in a lively and dynamic environment. To foster this environment, our goal is to build friendships among our children.
Children meet in classrooms upstairs during service based on age group. Children who are ages four to seven meet in the 4-7 classroom, while eight and up meet in the 8-12 classroom. The last Sunday of each month all children join in the same class for a large group class filled with games and activities to review the theme taught for the month.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Meeting Time: Every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM, children attend worship with their families in the sanctuary and then gather together in the upstairs children’s ministry space. During service, the children have the opportunity to learn about Jesus in creative and dynamic lessons involving games and activities. We also offer snack time for children in every service.
Note: If your child has known allergies, please make sure we have it logged in our system at the time of check-in. A River Kids volunteer will be happy to assist you.
CHECK-IN
Check-In: Parents/Legal Guardians are required to check-in their child via our automated check-in system. At the time of check-in, you will be given a unique security code to be used at the time of check-out. Teachers and teaching assistants will check the security code you give against the sticker your child will be wearing. Children are only allowed to be checked-in and checked-out by someone age thirteen years old or older.
MEET THE TEAM
Children’s Director: Kaylah Allen
My mission is to build the environment that encourages our children to develop their own relationship with Jesus and develop friendships with each other. In our classrooms we allow creativity and life. We foster kind friendships. We love every child that walks through the front door, and our goal is to make sure each child knows it.
My college major is Childhood Education for Grades 1-6; as a 2020 graduate I will have my bachelor’s degree and be a certified teacher. I plan to use my education and experience in the public school system to enhance how we reach our children.

Get Involved: Do you have a desire to teach? Are you talented in the creative arts, web design, or music? Are you gifted in administration? If you have abilities, skills, and talents that can help River Kids continue to grow, we want to hear from you. Come join our team and laugh, have fun, and inspire the kids to be all that God called them to be.
Requirements:
– Be a partner (member) with the church
– Be in good standing according to the Standards of Excellence
– Successfully completed “The Transformed Life” course
– Fill out an application
– Complete a background check
