Take You At Your Word

Hey Church!

This week I am thinking about a song that keeps coming up for me that we will be learning this week. "Take You At Your Word" by Cody Carnes. This song proclaims the power of God and how much the Word of God should mean to every Christian. I believe that this simple concept of just believing the Word for what it says often gets missed by Christians in so many ways. We get caught up in our day to day lives and we take situations that we need to surrender to God into our own hands. We then wonder why we get stressed out and the situations don't turn out the way that you had hoped. God believes in His own word so much that he exalts it above his own name- Psalm 138:2 "...for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name". God also says that He is not a man that He should lie and His word will not return to Him void or without accomplishing what it was sent out to do: Isaiah 55:11 "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please." Let's believe God for his word this week and just simply believe and not complicate things too much.
